That question is subjective. However, EMDR therapy is similar to traditional talk therapy, but it is more client-led and structured. You will collaborate with your therapist to create a targeted treatment plan, complete a prescreen, and determine if it's a good fit for you.

If you’ve already tried traditional talk therapy and reached a plateau—particularly with trauma or other mental health concerns—EMDR could be beneficial. EMDR is an evidence-based approach with strong, research-supported results in treating issues such as trauma, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, and more.

This can be discussed during your intake appointment with your therapist. However, 30-minute sessions are generally reserved for clients who have been in consistent therapy for at least 1–6 months or for adolescent clients.

Sessions are typically offered on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, meaning you can meet with your therapist four times a month or twice a month. This is subjective; however, those who want to accomplish their therapeutic goals quickly usually choose weekly sessions, while others prefer a slower pace. The first few sessions of your therapy journey are focused on building rapport and getting to know you as a client.

I currently work with adults ages 18-45.

Adolescents ages 14-17.

At this time I do not work with latency age children. However, parenting or dyad counseling can be use to assist with younger aged children.
